In 2010 good words cost £20 a piece to own exclusively for a year through Adopt a Word, a fund-raising initiative from I CAN, the children’s communication charity.

Once again Zone have done their bit to support local schools, with Charlotte heading up our dedicated voucher collection team. So our big thanks to everybody who helped to collect over 250 Tesco vouchers and over 130 from Sainsburys.
We’ll be giving these to the local village primary school who we hope will spend them on some art and design supplies to help raise the next generation of designers!

In the past we’ve talked about why we think industry awards are important.

We also did a piece last month on the merits of investing in original photography for advertising campaigns. At the time this was close to our hearts because we’d recently completed a successful shoot for our client, Bayer, using the talents of award-winning photographer, Chris Frazer Smith.

This all now ties together in an exciting way for us is because Chris’s dramatic shot of Cassie the Red Setter (‘Bayer Dog’) has been voted a finalist in the Health and Pharmaceutical category of the Campaign Photo Awards 2010.
